An Inspiring Hour

While hiding in the warm car while waiting for Nathan's baseball game to begin, I paged through a couple of magazines from my bag. Have I mentioned how much I love magazines? Have I mentioned how cold February baseball bleachers are? Thank God it's March.

These are random phrases from both articles or advertising that caught my eye and my spirit.

"Instead of staying safe, shake things up."

"......add zing...."

"I love to sweat the small stuff because that's what we handle and live with every day."

"......a writer's studio occupies a tiny cabin behind the cottage....."

"Comfort"

"Simplicity"

"Style"

"....notice the details...."

"Connection"

"I think art plays a role in everything; it's humanities lifeblood." Cleola Williams

"Find contentment"

"It's all about appreciating the small things that make our lives more beautiful."

All of these speak to me.

Do any whisper or sing to you?

Here's my 'ta-da'. They're photos of the wedding we went to on Saturday, March 1.

I saw some of these on your blog. Nice photos. It sounds like it was a very neat wedding.
Best wishes to the happy couple.

I like this one:
"I think art plays a role in everything; it's humanity's lifeblood." Cleola Williams

I keep trying to teach my kids to think bigger than what's in front of them and to find creative connections.

I love that quote, too, Susan.

Creative connections is what makes learning and life fun. I love when my son studies something in history and literature and finds a neat connection in a sci-fi movie. It tells me something is going on in that head besides video games.

I liked..."comfort", "simplicity" and
"It's all about appreciating the small things that make our lives more beautiful." I think if you appreciate the small things then you already have comfort and simplicity in your life. And what could be more welcoming?
